Summary of the Parents’ Council meeting held on 26 March 2026

1. Family Class

Franziska Gysi has introduced the Family Class.

The Family Class is designed for children and parents who are experiencing difficulties at school. The aim is to provide early support and strengthen cooperation between parents and the school.

Parents must register (in consultation with the teacher)

Children should bring their schoolwork with them

Held once a week

New participants can join at any time; there are currently places available

From May, there will also be a Tuesday evening session

2. Hard Family Centre

Leisure activities for children from nursery school to Year 6 (Districts 3, 4 and 5).

Free of charge

No registration required

Children attend independently

Activities: crafts, games, exercise, outings

Other activities: Bullingertreff (Friday), Spielinsel in summer, activities for children up to 4 years old on Sundays

3. After-school care – important information

After-school care starts in August.

Important: Registration / deregistration: early June – 2 July.

Children who have not previously attended after-school care must also be registered.

Login details and further information will be sent out in late May / early June.

Support will be available at the school during registration (date to follow).

Further information regarding after-school care will be provided later at the class parents’ evenings.


4. Traffic / Journey to school

Bollards have been installed at Bullingerplatz

The ‘School’ road marking will be applied near the school building

Discussions are ongoing regarding heatwave measures and dog-leash times

5. Hour of AI (Artificial Intelligence)

We are currently looking into the possibility of introducing the ‘Hour of AI’ programme at our school and would love to hear your thoughts on it.

This programme offers children a fun and easy introduction to the topic of artificial intelligence through hands-on activities (no prior knowledge required).

6. Miscellaneous

The school building is wheelchair accessible

The red area is open to the public at weekends, but signs will be put up asking people to leave the area for the children
