Dear Parents

We would like to inform you about topics from the last meeting of the parents' council.

Visiting morning on October 28th

On the morning of the open house, we would again appreciate cakes, savory snacks, and other contributions from parents. Further information will follow.

Storytelling night on November 13th

The theme of this year's storytelling night is "Voices". Further information will follow via KLAPP.

School route to Erismannhof kindergarten

The traffic situation around the Erismannhof is currently difficult. Reasons for this include the large construction site and increased traffic in the mornings. Parked cars and trucks sometimes obstruct the view of the children. The traffic group will discuss the situation with the school police officer. They also plan to contact the Italian school.

A childhood without smartphones

In one class, there's already a voluntary agreement among parents: The children shouldn't have smartphones with internet and social media access for as long as possible. A basic mobile phone is not affected by this. Parents from other classes who are interested in this topic can contact David at dakostenwein@gmail.com

The idea can also be incorporated into other classes.

Learning space at Bullingerplatz

Children in grades 3 through 6 can visit the learning space at Bullingerplatz every Thursday from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. Teenagers help the children with their studies and homework. Two adults are also present. The school administration is aware of the program and recommends it.

Parent education evenings

Several events are planned or under discussion for parents. The topics include: "Raising children without violence," "Understanding artificial intelligence (AI)," and "Smartphones and social media for children."

More information to follow.

Red Square at the weekend

On weekends, adults sometimes play on the red square and send away children who want to play there. The square is public outside of school hours. However, children should also be able to use it. The existing signs help to remind adults of this. Additionally, it is being reviewed whether the opening hours of the area can be displayed more clearly at the entrance (due to noise concerns).

School flea market

A school flea market is planned for the autumn. A small team is organizing the event. A rain date is also planned. More information will follow.

Bullingerfest

The Bullingerfest / summer festival of the Hardau family meeting place will take place on September 19th.

Warm regards

Sihlfeld Parents' Council
