The Parent Council met for the second time this school year. The newly elected representatives from kindergarten were present, and important topics were discussed. New ideas were also gathered.
Story NightThe school management thanks all parents who supported Story Night. Parents held 11 out of 27 readings, 5 of them from other language backgrounds. Some parents helped outside at the popular punch/soup bar. It was a very lively and enriching experience for everyone!
Traffic Situation in the Neighborhood
The traffic working group met with police officers and provided the following feedback: a green bike lane, similar to the one on Bullingerstrasse, is also planned for Hardplatz. Signs for traffic calming for children will also be set up at Hardplatz. It was suggested that there should be a renewed awareness campaign for cyclists at the pedestrian crossing to the school to ensure the necessary consideration for the children.
Speaking of transportation, the school management informs that children are allowed to come to school by bike or scooter, but riding is not permitted on the school grounds. Additionally, cycling on the sidewalk is not allowed.
Winter SingingThe middle school Winter Singing event will take place on December 10th, starting at 5 PM. It will include a small Christmas market (similar to last year) .The Events Group is organizing a bar with a punch and hot soup!
Parent Education EveningThe following topics for parent education have been shortlisted: media literacy, boundaries/physical integrity, and cyberbullying. We are excited to see what will come of it…
